DuraFormer®, which can operate with high efficiency under harsh environmental conditions, offers users the advantage of longevity in all environmental conditions. Our largest transformer (450MVA), which successfully completed the short circuit test in KEMA laboratories and broke the world record in this field, was produced with DuraFormer® technology.Besides its longevity, one of DuraFormer® brand's most important feature is the resistance to critical failure conditions (overvoltage, overload). We are extending the transformer’s lifespan with the precautions taken during the design phase of the winding and core structure specially developed for DuraFormer® transformers, with additional precautions taken in manufacturing and the selection of more durable materials.
DuraFormer® is specially designed by our design engineers in accordance with the conditions in which it will be used. It is manufactured to give maximum performance with the optimum determination of insulation material, oil aging, losses and cooling system. By updating the designs in line with the requests of our customers, the guaranteed time can be extended. An average transformer life is designed to be 20 years under IEC conditions; If users prefer DuraFormer®, transformer’s lifetime can be extended up to +10 years with additional guarantee.
DuraFormer® is manufactured to operate in many harsh conditions. Some of these are; steel melting plants, desert conditions, very low temperatures, tropical environment conditions. Thanks to its production with special materials which are resistant to these conditions, Duraformer can operate at -45°C or 55°C for many years without any problems. DuraFormer® also will be the definitive solution for the durability that can respond to all environmental conditions without corrosion at the seaside or on the sea (offshore).
