Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, who visited Balıkesir for a series of openings and visits, also visited BEST - Balıkesir Electromechanical Industry Facilities Inc., Turkey's and the world's largest transformer factory.

Accompanied by Balıkesir Governor Hasan Şıldak, Members of Parliament Adil Çelik, Yavuz Subaşı, Mustafa Canbey, Mutlu Aydemir, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, Provincial Police Director Hasan Onar, BSO President Nazmi Yarış, Chamber of Commerce Council President Okan Telaşeli and many other guests, Minister Varank was greeted by BEST Inc. Chairman of the Board Rona Yırcalı.

After inspecting the units produced at the BEST factory, Minister Varank received information about the factory from the Chairman of the Board Rona Yırcalı and General Manager Tunç Tezel.

Minister Varank also met with BEST employees and, in his speech addressed to the workers, said, "More than half of the products produced here are exported abroad. Quality finds a market everywhere. But to be able to produce quality, we need a quality workforce. Otherwise, these buildings, equipment, and metal alone cannot do the job. You are putting your mind and hard work into this. I congratulate and applaud you, from the workers to the engineers."

After taking a group photo as a souvenir of the day, Minister Mustafa Varank left the factory.
